A restricted grant provided to AHARI during its early years is finally coming to fruition. This map-tracking system will enable a user to track the journey of an ancestor, family, group, etc. from historic Armenia to Rhode Island or elsewhere. Over 600 pre-1915 town/village/area names of Historic Armenia in addition to current Turkish (re)names will be available.

The map is interactive so that an individual can key in locations that their ancestors’ journey included, which will allow them to see the points of that journey on the map. Complete world map-tracking will be possible. Future iterations might include more details such as terrain conditions, altitudes and other information.

Look for release by early Fall 2024.
